East Hampton is a beautiful community that is the easternmost town on Long Island in Suffolk County, New York. With a population of about 20,000 people living on about 70 square miles of Long Island’s south fork, East Hampton is surrounded by 70 miles of pristine waterfront on three sides. The town is made up of the village of East Hampton, as well as four unincorporated hamlets of Montauk, Amagansett, Wainscott, and Springs. The area is home to the largest privately owned island in the United States and the largest fishing fleet in New York.
